Our 9th Annual Firecracker 4K race is the perfect way to kick off your July 4th festivities! In 2009 over 900 runners and walkers participated in our family friendly event. With the 4th falling on a Sunday this year, our goal is to celebrate 2010 in a "GRAND" way with 1000 participants! The race will begin at 9:00am on Sunday, July 4th. It will be held on the Penn State campus (race map will be posted on the website when route is finalized) starting near Beaver Stadium. Both runners and walkers are encouraged to participate. A digital timing system will be used to determine the winners in 8 different age groups. Prizes will be awarded in all age groups and to the top overall male and female participants. All proceeds from race entry fees and our many generous local sponsors go to support 4th Fest activities. So grab a friend or family member and come join the fun!!!
